Rivian, an electric vehicle maker, has announced its adoption of Tesla’s charging standard. This move allows Rivian customers to access Tesla’s extensive charging network, including 12,000 Superchargers in the US and Canada by spring 2024. Rivian will also incorporate a Tesla-style charging port as standard on its vehicles from 2025. This decision marks a series of wins for Tesla, as other companies like GM, Ford and Hyundai Motor have also embraced Tesla’s standard.
