The California Energy Commission (CEC) has launched a $30m incentive project to install fast electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in 30 counties in Eastern California, the Central Valley and the Central Coast. This Golden State Priority Project aims to bring fast-charging stations to disadvantaged, low-income, and tribal communities, with 100% of the funding being allocated to these areas. The project is part of the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP) and will prioritize shovel-ready projects for funding to accelerate the state’s EV infrastructure network build-out. Applications are due by March 10. Read more here
