Case Study: Commercial EV Charging Stations for Dan Caputo Co

Scenario

Located in Campbell, CA Dan Caputo Co. is a commercial real estate investment and management firm founded by Dan Caputo Jr. that manages approximately 2.7 million square feet of commercial property in various locations. The company provides a range of services, including major structural and mechanical work, earthwork, demolition, and more. They are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of their tenants while also being profitable.

They wanted to install EV charging stations for their employees at their Campbell, CA location. The main challenge for the company was to limit the use of the charging stations only to their employees, without paying for a yearly subscription. Also, the project needed to be completed as soon as possible.

Solution

To solve this problem, Dan Caputo Properties approached CyberSwitching, who offered them Dual CSE1 EV Charging stations with RFID cards. The RFID cards enabled the company to restrict the usage of the charging stations to their employees only, and the employees could use the stations by swiping their cards. Furthermore, the charging stations were provided free of cost to the employees.

The customer was able to pick up the chargers from CyberSwitching’s San Jose facility just two days after ordering them, and they were able to install two Dual CSE1 EV charging stations, with a total of four charging ports, within a week of contacting CyberSwitching. The employees are now able to charge their electric vehicles for free at work and are very satisfied with the new charging stations.

Results

In summary, CyberSwitching was able to help Dan Caputo Co Properties overcome their challenge of limiting the use of EV charging stations to their employees without paying for a yearly subscription. The Dual CSE1 EV Charging stations with RFID cards provided by CyberSwitching were installed quickly, and the employees are very happy with the new charging stations.
