BP has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging capabilities and aims to install 100,000 EV chargers worldwide by 2030. BP reported a 65% increase in the number of EV charge points globally in 2022 compared to 2021, and the number of strategic convenience sites offering BP-branded vehicle energy increased to 2,400 from 2,150. BP plans to establish fast-EV charging stations for ride-hail and taxi fleets near airports in the US through its Gigahub network, and opened its first six 300kW charging locations in Germany in late January.
